SENDERS SAYS
In a study of over 11,000 third graders, those with at least 15 minutes of recess a day, had fewer behavioral problems as defined by their teachers using a standardized scoring system. Of interest, 20% had a least 30 minutes of recess per day, 50% had a least 15 minutes of recess per day while 30% had no recess. This is just one more study in a growing body of research that demonstrates the old expression that, “All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy”.
