For newborns:  If your child is born at University Hospitals or Hillcrest Hospital, and we are identified as your physicians, our answering service will be informed and your child will be seen by one of the pediatricians in our group the following morning. If there is a problem with your newborn, one of our doctors will be in touch with the hospital-based physicians until the problem is resolved. Rounds are made from 7-9:30AM and when possible, we will examine your child in your room.

For hospitalized ill patients:  If your child needs to be hospitalized, we will make arrangements for the hospitalization at either Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital in the University Hospitals system or at Hillcrest Hospital in the Cleveland Clinic Hospital system.  Our preference for these two hospitals is that both allow independent physicians to manage the care of their patients.  Our commitment to you is that we will be directly involved in managing the care of your ill child throughout his or her stay in either of these two hospitals and we will arrange for outpatient follow up care as well.
