Certified Nurse Practitioner
Nurse practitioners in our practice should be able to practice collaboratively with the pediatricians in caring for patients from birth to 23 years. Candidates should be comfortable with well care issues that span these age groups as well as a host of ill conditions common in children, adolescents and young adults. Communication is one of the hallmarks of our practice. The right person needs to be a warm and communicative individual for whom an holistic approach is more than just an expression. Humility is a must. We care for children with a fascinating and stimulating array of acute and chronic healthcare issues and a willingness to learn and grow is a must. And commitment is critical. Pediatric Office Advice Nurse

East side pediatric practice is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a part time Advice Nurse. The Advice Nurse position will practice nursing via the telephone utilizing the nursing process, input from physicians, and the organization’s approved telephone nursing guidelines and protocols.
First and foremost, candidates must have a deep love for children and an appreciation for the practical nuances of childhood growth and development.Experience in the care of children and professional knowledge of clinical nursing protocols is helpful.
This job requires an outstanding listener and communicator in both writing and speaking!We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated high skill level in creative problem solving, setting priorities, and the ability to use these skills in a fast paced environment where the nature of patient inquiries, via telephone calls, is unpredictable.This position requires superb customer service and people skills to deal with patients on the telephone who need reassurance or advice regarding important health issues.The right candidate for this position will have the ability to work effectively with staff and collaborate with other healthcare team members in the office.
Requirements
Candidate is required to have a current RN license and be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.Position requires 2-4 years of practical nursing experience preferably in an emergency room, ambulatory, or outpatient setting. Candidates must have proficiency with computers.

Pediatric Medical Assistant

Our Pediatric Medical Assistant Responsibilities Include:

Warmly welcomes patients and families, and escorts them back to the exam room.Conducts pre-visit exam including vitals and measurements and then records them in the patient’s chart.

Administers vaccines to patients and records them in the chart according to the office policy.

Draws patient’s blood and collects all specimens and manages each sample according to the office policy.

Responsible for performing all patient lab tests and submitting samples according to the office policy.Monitors lab results, communicates results to appropriate person, and records information correctly in the patient’s chart.

Organizes and prepares patient forms for providers, gets all required signatures, and then forwards forms to the appropriate person.

Charts daily in a patient’s electronic medical record in an accurate and timely fashion.

Monitors prescription lines and assures that all prescriptions are called or faxed in to the pharmacy in a timely manner.

Properly cleans up and straightens exam rooms after each patient visit.Picks up all magazines and cleans toys in each room.

Effectively stocks all exam rooms according to checklist.

Provides support and assistant to the Physicians and Nurse Practitioners as requested.

Scans lab results twice a day.

Accurately distributes and grades Conner’s Forms.

Effectively puts together syringes for office use.

Work in conjunction with Senders Research to perform blood draws and injections.

Perform all other duties as assigned.
Our Pediatric Medical Assistant Job Requirements Include:

Minimum of 1-3 years of patient care experience in a clinic or office setting

Completion of Medical Assistant Certification
